So it seems I was wrong . . . . . .

. . . . . when I speculated about Barr being a Bush acolyte and loyal to Poppy in particular. I speculated he auditioned for the AG job to get in and damage Trump.

That whole theory, which a few others also proffered, has turned out to be just plain wrong.

I too was hopeful. I remember Barr from Iran-Conta but my recollection was that his actions were in service of Poppy Bush. Add to it reports that Barr was one of Poppy’s last visitors and it seemed just like Poppy for his last words to him to be “ Bob, he f’cked Jeb and you need you pay him back.”

But there ya go...not to be so and I add my voice to the chorus of “I was wrong”.

To be clear, I didn’t expect Barr to be honorable...just loyal (to Poppy).
