because under the rather explicit terms of 6 U.S.C. §113(g), here’s your new Acting Secretary of Homeland Security: https://www.dhs.gov/person/claire-m-grady
Claire M. Grady became the Under Secretary for Management (USM) on August 8, 2017. In this role, she is the third-in-command of the Department and oversees a budget of $60 billion and a workforce of 240,000 dedicated homeland security professionals.
