Pssst, Republicans ... Have You Noticed?

I’m amazed that anyone needs to point this out to you – but apparently, you seem to be unaware of certain things, and need to be told.

Have you noticed that your “pResident” has not been exonerated of anything, and is still under investigation? Have you noticed that by you going along with his delusion of being vindicated, he has become even crazier?

Have you noticed the surveys that show that despite your “pResident’s” claims that he has been vindicted of all wrongdoing, almost half the country doesn’t believe he has been?

Have you noticed that your “pResident” is now promising things you can’t possibly deliver – like a healthcare plan that will be better, less expensive, and more efficient than Obamacare?

Have you noticed that taking shots at Democrats for being huggy-feely sounds a tad ridiculous given that your “pResident” is a self-proclaimed pussy grabber?

Have you noticed that your “pResident” doesn’t exactly sound like a stable genius when he doesn’t know that his own father was born in the Bronx, and not some “wonderful place in Germany” – or when he insists that the noise generated by windmills causes cancer?

Have you noticed that your “pResident” is increasingly unable to differentiate between reality and utter nonsense, that he has trouble finding his words – like saying ‘oranges’ instead of ‘origins’ – and that he recently gave a speech in front of cameras and opined that his words would likely be ‘leaked to the media’?

Have you noticed how many of your “pResident’s” best people have been indicted, or are currently in prison?

Have you noticed that many of your “pResident’s” best people have resigned because they can’t deal with his unhinged tantrums and impossible demands?

Have you noticed that the national emergency at the border is still not an emergency?

Have you noticed that your “pResident” is being completely manipulated by TV personalities on FOX-News?

Have you noticed that your “pResident” has given access to our nation’s top secret information to people who were denied a security clearance on the basis that they are a security risk?

I can only assume that you Republicans have been in a coma for the past two years, or that you are as stupid as your “pResident” and as brain-dead as his ‘base’.

The only silver lining here is that while your “pResident” is doing his utmost to destroy the country, he has been incredibly successful at destroying your party. All of the things you used to tout as your party’s principles are now off-the-table. In fact, you have sunk so low in trying to defend the indefensible, you can no longer claim to have any principles whatsoever.

The midterm elections should have been a wake-up call to all of you. Instead, it has only served to make you more determined to be the party that condones lying, adultery, incompetence, greed, corruption, ignorance of the law, disregard for facts and the truth, and abject stupidity.

Maybe you haven’t noticed what you’ve oh-so-willingly become – but the voters have.

If I were a Republican currently holding elected office, I wouldn’t be counting on my re-election. I’d be on the phone with a head-hunter who might possibly be able to get me a good-paying gig in the private sector – and/or I’d be lawyering-up before my own shit hit that proverbial fan.

Show me a Republican who still believes defending this “pResident” is working in their party’s favour, and I’ll show you a Republican who is too stupid to have noticed that while they’ve been sleeping, their constituents have – slowly but surely - been waking up.

But apparently, they don't - which is fine with me.

Republicans are generally okay with dismantling the Constitution as long as they can claim a stake in the transition to fascism/authoritarian rule. If they can get re-elected, if they can still have a bevy of lobbyists at their beck and call, and if they can hide behind Trump's bloviating, they're good to go. They can be deeply loyal to Trump as long as his base thinks that they're worth a dime. That will be enough to drag them along within the stability of incumbency. In the words of one of their past presidents, Bush 43, the Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper.

America. rethugs are only concerned with their own political self preservation and have conned one third of the voting population into helping them get reelected. I don't believe their loyal idiots will ever wake up because they are either too stupid or too racist or both.

'We The People' do care and must continue to fight the efforts of the Republican'Ts to destabilize the nation and undermine the rule of law. The risks to USA and its people are real.

Maintaining the concepts of truth and equal justice require the people to stay true to principles of equality and mutual support for all.

Another poster somewhere suggested that if the Mueller report exonerated Trump, he would air drop copies of it all over the country.

So here's a puzzler for the cult. Dear Cult, if the Mueller report exonerated your cult leader, doesn't it make sense that he would release it immediately, without redactions?

On reflection, it's a double bluff. The report exonerates him, and he knows it. But he's not releasing it because we might think that it further incriminates him. Then, when we've worked ourselves into a liberal frenzy - eating avocado toast by the pound (oh no! no avocados?!) - he'll release the report, which exonerates him. Much laughing ensues. The man is indeed a stable genius.
