Former FBI special agent Josh Campbell suggested on Twitter that Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsens resignation letter bears a striking resemblance to the New York Times op-ed written by an anonymous senior administration official who said they were part of a resistance working to undermine Trumps worst impulses from within.
Campbell added that his theory would also fit with CNN reporting that Nielsen felt Trump had become unhinged on issues concerning the border.

Personally, I wouldn't have went to work for the SOB knowing what we all knew about him before he began putting together his administration. I could no more work for someone as ignorant as he is, with no character and no scruples, than I could work for the Devil himself.
If she was able to thwart his actions in any way, than I would say, "Thank you for you for your service."

She did detestable things in his name and it will probably come out over the next week they weren't nearly as detestable as he asked her to do so in her mind she was compromising in some way.
I think after the Generals resigned or were asked to resign the group represented in the letter realized they didn't have a prayer in stopping his worst impulses.
