Racism In America Is Not Real, But Discrimination Against Trump Supporters Is

On Friday night’s episode of his “YourVoice America” program, ardent pro-Trump commentator and right-wing conspiracy theorist Bill Mitchell insisted, once again, that racism is not a problem in America while his guest, one time “The Apprentice” contestant Stephanie Myers, declared that Trump supporters are the ones who are really facing discrimination in this country.

After declaring that every Trump supporter should come together for a “National MAGA Hat Day” in which they wear their red “Make America Great Again” hats in public in order to upset liberals, Mitchell complained that MAGA hats are treated as “a symbol of racism” even though actual racism in America is “just not happening.”

“Where is the racism?” he asked. “I go out to the grocery store, I go to the gas station, I go to restaurants, I go to the theater, I don’t see black people being discriminated against. I’m standing in line at the grocery store, there’s a black person in front of me, I’m talking to them, having a nice conversation, they check out just like I do. Nobody is denying them service. If you were to listen to the Democrats, they would say racism is the biggest problem in America today, that people are being hung from trees, that they’re being led off in chains. It’s just not happening. It’s not real.”

“I agree one hundred percent,” responded Myers. “In fact, I get discriminated against when I walk around southern California with my MAGA hat … Wearing my Trump hat anywhere around southern California, let me tell you, I’m judged all the time. But I’m not afraid, I wear it with pride. I feel like we are discriminated against in my neck of the woods when we wear our stuff.”

Sigh... if you have to ask "where is the racism?", then you're a racist.

"Where is the discrimination?" I ask. "I go out to the grocery store, I go to the gas station, I go to restaurants, I go to the theater, I don't see MAGA hat wearing numbskulls discriminated against. I don't see them lynched and hanging from a tree. I don't see groups of liberals picnicking under their bodies, and carving off fingers and toes from the corpse as souvenirs of their outing. It's just not happening, Bill Mitchell. It's not real."

and there are plenty of cretins like him here. I have seen the Proud Boys start violence at peaceful rallies and the sheriffs allow them to do this. I have had the flag waving, MAGA hat wearers swear and throw hateful insults at us for not loving America. Thank goodness this idiot and his pals are the minority here.

I have definitely seen my fair share of MAGAts, gun nuts, conspiracy theorists, and flag-waving assholes in North County. And yes, it is good that they're in the minority here. Thank god the OC isn't represented by them anymore!

You hear what you want to hear.
You believe what you want to believe.
Arguable? Perhaps, but it’s human nature.

And say it's the squirrel's fault for getting in the way of their cars.

"I see your problem right there."

Try walking into boardrooms, universities, golf clubs, and any black people you see will be emptying the wastebasket or carrying clubs. They won't be leading the meetings.

Try walking into prisons and jails where you will see young men serving years for possessing a single joint. You won't see many white kids there for the same thing.

Try viewing traffic where they will be pulled over, hauled out of their cars, and handcuffed for doing 37 on a 35 mph stretch of road, while being questioned as to why somebody like them is driving such a nice car and what they are doing in this neighborhood.

I'm so sick of the stupidity...
