Are we frogs in the pot water with the fire underneath?

No Senate confirmations. Acting This and Acting That across the board.

Firings of people who are not extremist enough.

Nose thumbing over the Mueller Report.

Democrats unable to get his tax returns or much of anything else.

McConnell protecting it all and installing more kook judges.

Russians continuing to fuck with our society and our politics.

I am sensing a pattern that could be the rapid consolidation of power that precedes strongman takeovers.

I want the Dems to go on the attack like the GOP does. The big difference is that we are angry about protecting the country and not destroying it.

they are not, because as a whole they are no longer Republicans. They are RepubliCons or Rethuglicans. Dems screaming isn’t going to fix anything. It hasn’t yet, why would it now? These people are con artists, thugs, racists and evangelical anti-Christ-Ian’s. Don’t expect any assistance from them. It isn’t going to happen. We either win in 2020 or we lose democracy for good — well at least for the remainder of my lifetime and maybe longer.

Oh, BTW, you left out every other group that has a grudge against US. It's not just the Russians.

I think what we have been witnessing over the past 27 months is a slow death of democracy in the U.S.

The 2018 mid-term election results coupled with legal immigration and legal petitioning of asylum is making Trump double down on immigration as his pet issue for 2020.

We cannot afford this madman to continue. He must be impeached and the case must be so strong as to make Senate Republicans feel that they must convict.

What chaos will occur in the event of an attack?
With secret service head gone, who will stop the spying? Who will protect our candidates?

One event, and it will be used as an excuse for marshal law? Widespread emergency powers?.

...the best way to see this is from the outside. What is the rest of the world thinking of this?

The EU is contemplating its own Military Force...and if/when this happens, kiss NATO goodbye.

Turkey is purchasing the S-400 missile system from Russia, why? For use against Greece. Granted they are both NATO members, but Greece is part of the EU, Turkey is not. And the disintegration of NATO will put them immediately in adversarial roles.

Venezuela will no doubt have a permanent Russian Base, the first hostile country in a long time to establish itself in our hemisphere.

Mexico's economy is growing...and more importantly, stabilizing....and we are alienating them. China is taking advantage of this, not surprising, they have been cultivating this relationship for over 20 years...and we just gave Mexico the permission to give us the bird.

Brazil's economy is rising...and we have absolutely no influence there. But you can bet your ass that the rest of the BRIC Nations have some plans.

Our word doesn't mean anything. We have pulled out of economic treaties and threatened to in others. We also acknowledged to pull out of military treaties. If we don't keep our promises, then when new negotiations occur, they can't rely on our "word".

If we are no longer the worlds Policeman. Some will rejoice of the fact we aren't "paying" for another country who got themselves into a mess. That thinking, at best, is misplaced. Yes, we pay extra into our military, but that military induces influence around the world for favorable trade agreements....we lose that,...well, its a double whammy. One, we lose favorable trade agreements. Two, our economy gets hit hard, we gambled on military and military related industries...reduce the military, reduce the employed workforce. We bet on being the endless empire...and that bet could come back to haunt us because, we couldn't handle our problems at home.

We keep our Passports up to date. Sadly, we both know when its time to leave all assets behind and flee a nation.

Urgency in outlook and direct participation in county party organizations is needed by every Democrat. The stakes couldn't be higher.

Trump is already putting plans into place by designating an Iranian military force as a terrorist organization.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/08/politics/iran-us-irgc-designation/index.html

The world and our place in it has become destabilized in only a couple of years.

We must win, and win big in 2020. I don't know what will happen if we don't, but losing is not an option.

I truly fear there may not be 2020 election.

Remember when Bush thought of pulling that bullshit during his Saddam War.... postponing the election.
It is in tRump's best interest to start a war (Iraqi) and then stop any election because it would be dangerous
to changers leaders at such a time. I fear this is the plan. I think we're all in BIG TROUBLE folks!!!
I hope I'm wrong ... but the next few months will tell.
