Trump Cabinet down to three women amid administration turnover
Trump's Cabinet is down to three women in sitting positions.
CNN reported Monday that women represent 13 percent of Trump's Cabinet-level officials, lower than the previous administrations of former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
Trump announced on Sunday that Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen is leaving his administration, just a few weeks after Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon announced she would exit. Trump's United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley also resigned last October.
That leaves three women in Cabinet positions: Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, CIA Director Gina Haspel and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
DeVos and Chao have served in their current capacities since the start of Trump's term.
