The big news from the Barr hearing this morning

Last edited Tue Apr 9, 2019, 10:50 AM - Edit history (1)

Mueller and the Special Counsel had no input in that summary or the follow up letter.

And he does not intend to go to court to release some sections.
My intention is not to ask the Court. So there!

It eliminated the possibility of "Mueller concluding....xxxx, yyyy, zzzz" being used by trump to say "I'm exonerated". Even without
the summary explicitly saying he was exonerated he's trying to say that.

Imagine if Mueller had any input?

if Democrats hold hearings to impeach Trump he will release the grand jury information to Congress.

Also, the vast majority of the juicy information is going to be contained in the grand jury hearings, that's why Barr isn't releasing any of it.

I don't know but it may be time for Speaker Pelosi to bring impeachment back on the table, the information from the grand juries is too important to bury. Politics be damned.

massive amounts of power to investigate. We get Mueller report, tax returns and will restrict presidents power while proceedings are happening. The majority of citizens are demanding impeachment and accountability so Pelosi no longer has an excuse to refuse to impeach.

Barr said that he's not involved in the redactions for grand jury information. Mueller and other prosecutors are redacting information concerning ongoing cases and uncharged people.

If Mueller doesn't want Congress seeing unredacted information right away, than *I* don't want them see it. There are still a lot of bad actors in Congress. Of course, there's no way of knowing whether Trump has ordered his friends in Congress to see the full report.

If Nadler wants to sue to get the unredacted report, then he can do that, as Barr said.
