lawsuit on behalf of the American people to get the report released. The people pay the taxes that funded the Special Counsel, the Attorney General and DOJ salaries. The American people have a right to see that report.

orders them to do it. Trump said, "Fuck the law." He thinks he is the Lord, above all laws.

Who is going to make Trumpty-rump-dump do anything? If you can't impeach him, he can ignore all laws, commit crimes and treason, accept bribes, fail to execute the laws of the land all he wants. Which is exactly what he is doing. And unless you can impeach, you can't stop him.

He's is just going to destroy as much as possible while that short little man, Putin snears and claps (He can't even look the first Nude Lady in the eye unless he's standing on a box.)

Just remember, the uber rich top 0.7%, who have stolen over 50% of Our National Wealth, are doing absolutely nothing to stop this and are actually helping Trumpty-rump-dump to destroy our democracy.

The report was commissioned and paid for by THE PEOPLE, it is ours by right and ANYONE in the government OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE who attempts to withhold it shall be imprisoned for not less than 15 years in supermax facility in Colorado, serving their time in 23 hour a day solitary confinement, period.

other reason why the response to getting that report, which We The People paid for, is so very weak.

ETA: When he shows some actual strength, I'll back off of him.

15. Nadler's committee authorized him to use the subpoena.

So if Nadler subpoenas the grand jury information it will be tied up in courts for a long time, maybe until after the election.

There is another route that is much quicker. Start the impeachment process of Trump. I'm sorry if it may be bad politics and I'm sorry if the Senate won't convict, that's on them. Barr must turn over the grand jury information if the House moves to impeach Trump.

Speaker Pelosi, kindly put impeachment back on the table. All of the juicy information is in the grand jury reports, we can't afford to just bury it.

Bob Mueller is too upright to pull a Daniel Ellsberg, Weissman may do it, but other than that impeachment is the only way that Congress will get the grand jury information.

18. The democrats are following a necessary process
Tue Apr 9, 2019, 02:08 PM

The house must follow the established procedures. Mueller HAD to provide the report to Justice and don't expect him to release it personally to congress. I know some (many) believe this is a conspiracy but its not. Procedures are in place and neither the democrats or Mueller can be seen as ignoring rules because that only provides political ammunition to Trump and the republicans.

When this goes to the courts (and it will), do you want a valid argument from the Republicans that democrats have ignored law and established procedures? This will be OUR argument so how would it go over if both sides have shown impropriety? Degree is irrelevant. Our argument and track record must be perfect.

Now I understand in this immediate gratification society, this just isn't acceptable because like Veruca Salt, you want it now. I do too but I believe in the long term we will prevail.

On a final note, we led ourselves to this place.. along with the republicans. We didn't want another Ken Starr and they didn't want another Walsh so we allowed the independent counsel statute to expire in 1999. This gave the DOJ more power and so here we are. Hindsight is always 20/20.

20. They need to follow proper procedure
Tue Apr 9, 2019, 02:28 PM

if they go before a judge, the judge will ask them if they followed Steps A, B, C and D first before filing the subpoena. Nadler is making sure that he follows the steps in the process.

Nadler will wait for Barr to submit the report with his redactions. Then Nadler will state that the redactions make it impossible to ascertain the true nature of the report and will issue a subpoena to get an unredacted copy.
This will go back and forth for several months in the courts. In the end he will get an unredacted copy of the report.
Don't expect this to happen soon.
But, if things deteriorate a lot between now and then, it may just happen that an unredacted copy of the report will find its way into the hands of the public.
The thing Barr fears most is a public comparison of his redactions with the full, unredacted text, along with the actual summary written by Mueller.

We have an unprecedented situation here. The Attorney General who was recently appointed by Trump is deciding on what part of the investigation of Trump's campaign will be seen by anyone other than himself.
It's obviously Obstruction of Justice, especially since Barr is on record as being critical of the special prosecutor's investigation prior to being selected to take charge of the Justice Department.
The fix is in...for now.
But can Barr sustain it?
I say no.
