Her platform exists so that she can be used to muddy the waters on the racist policies and rhetoric by the administration and Trump supporters. She is Black she can't possibly support racist policies, therefore Trump and his supporters can't possibly be racist; is the role she is designed to fill.

Anything that supports the White Supremacist status quo will receive support and have a platform. Same way that Diamond and Silk are still supported by obviously racist Trump supporters. If they challenged the hegemony in messaging they would be dropped in a heartbeat, the same way the Omarosa was turned on by Trump and his supporters when she began having problems with his way of doing things.

Nationalism is typically about identity but in America that national identity has typically been White. That isn't to say that people of color cannot be nationalists. There was, and likely still is a Black Nationalist movement in the US, but they are typically fringe and have no power in society. Historically it was about having a small piece of land where they could be together or in the case of Marcus Garvey, repatriating to some part of the African continent.

American nationalism almost always denotes White nationalism. I put a video titled White Fascism on this thread that explains the situation.
