That was the impression we were supposed to have when he wrote his first letter.
But, perhaps, it was something totally different?
Perhaps Mr Mueller told Mr Barr that he could not "exonerate" Mr Trump and there were still a lot of questions outstanding in the investigation?
Perhaps Mr Barr had assured Mr Trump that he would shut down the investigation, whether or not Mr Mueller was finished?
This seems like a more likely scenario to me.

(9,895 posts)I already believed Trump was a usurper and guilty of at least a half-a-dozen crimes BEFORE the dumbass fired Mueller, bragged about it to Russians (in the fucking Oval Office no less, WITHOUT US photogs or translators) and then TOLD Lester Holt he did it BECAUSE of Russia investigation...that was CLEARLY obstruction of justice despite the fact that he is so goddamn incompetent in general.
The unredacted report has become an absolute must for the sake of the republic and our form of representative governance. Trump and his cabal need to be held to their word on releasing the report...the FUCKING HOUSE voted 420-to-0 to release the report...UNANIMOUS CONSENT in 2019? Is anyone still conscious in the fucking media???
Every microphone in every politicians face should be demanding the release of the information today, not next week or "never" according to Barr.
Barr should face disbarment for attempting to cover up the report's findings and whitewashing the public perception of the Mueller report if so much as 51% of the report is more damning than not to Trump.
