It's forgotten by most that one of the first Trump campaign "gaffes" was....

….the Madman tweeting a picture of himself superimposed against pictures that included German soldiers from WW2.

I believe the initial response was to blame it on lazy intern research.

We all know that was no gaffe, right?

I googled “soldier” and there are hundreds of great pics of obvious US soldiers. Think you are probably right.

And that it might have been the end of the Donald Trump presidential aspirations.

Those days--where things like these could derail campaigns--felt like eons ago.

(Of course, little things--like a kiss on the head in an awkward yet non-sexual manner--still threaten to derail campaigns, but only if the person is a Democrat.)

News and people’s obsession with social media like a violin.

Each day he changes the news focus from yesterday.* He never faces the press without helicopters whirling or a world leader by his side to limit effective questioning, He tells Sarah not to bother either. And, he limits his messaging to three word slogans that can easily be heard and absorbed by people not paying much attention.

*note, he even did this for Biden, not sure why.

"drain the swamp" meant "get rid of liberals and also any competent people."
