He later changed "spying" to "unauthorized surveillance".
But, as I recall, a panic set in when it was discovered that General Flynn was communicating with the Russian, before the Administration had been sworn in, and then lied about it to the FBI.
Then, Sally Yates went to the White House to inform them of the problem.
The White House did nothing. Flynn stayed on for another 18 days as the National Security Adviser.
Soon thereafter Sally Yates was fired for her position on another matter.
If Trump and Barr want to know the "oranges" of this investigation, I would say this was it.
Then, it seemed like the entire Administration was intent on lying about their meetings with Russians.
The FBI had every right to investigate.

Then Trump asked for Russia's assistance on live tv.
Damn straight the FBI had the right to investigate. It would have been a dereliction of duty if they had not.

(25,111 posts)That is what the Republicans are going to use 24/7. Nevertheless, bring on the investigation. I want it exposed that in fact t-rump and the Republican party are compromised. I want the names of the FBI agents and Rudy G. who knew about Comey's additional report on HRC right before the 2016 election.

(17,985 posts)He was informed that was not a wise choice of words.
Barr is hanging himself by his actions. Collins, Murkowski and others called him on his backing of the Health Care suit. Remarking the Supreme Court had already ruled.
Barr is not doing a very good job. Too old and too out of date.
It was also brought up that Trump was out there claiming victory. He was ranting about putting the 19 investigators in jail today.

(13,903 posts)That is if they were surveilling events and goings on that were not public.
Since when does a law enforcement agency have to give notice to subjects that they are being surveilled?
LOL kind of defeats the purpose of surveillance yes?
I guess you should always tell the Dear Leader when he is being watched.
The judge thing is me being sarcastic.
Did I miss that?

(5,442 posts)By all means, let's dig into why the FBI was concerned. They were trying to do their jobs, and the more voters know, the worse it will be for il drumpf.
