I don't know if I'm the only one curious about this change in Barr's assessment of the investigation and Mueller's actual words. In the link below, on page two under the heading "Russian Investigation" Barr says that the Mueller report "found no conspiracy between the Russians and members of the Trump campaign". But, in reality, Muller states in a truncated sentence placed in the Barr letter that Mueller "could not establish a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russian Government". That's quite different on two fronts. "Not being able to establish" is way different than finding no conspiracy and "Russia" is way different than the "Russian Government". After all, no Russian who interacted with Trump campaign officials or Trump associates (not officially connected to the campaign) were ever directly members of the Russian government.
So, before we get to the obvious cover up of obstruction, these statements need to be explained.

(30,613 posts)A few here seem to be assuming that Barr is telling the truth, despite evidence throughout his career, that makes that possibility appear unlikely.
