I’m loath to criticize @RepJerryNadler but why in God’s green earth isn’t he issuing the subpoena NOW? What is he waiting for? Barr is getting the better of him and he MUST ACT NOW. Even cautious allies like me are getting disgusted with the foot-dragging. He’s losing the war.

Nadler's committee can't issue a subpoena if none of them are in Washington. That's why Barr chose this time to release the report.

It was being held until after the release of the report, which everyone agreed to at the time. I have no doubt that it will be issued shortly after Congress returns, which will be April 29.

I reserve the right to be WORNG in a comment on an OP, if it's done in good faith, and based on a rolling news cycle.. I dont think the sentiment was wrong. Barr is going to spin his narrative. trump is going to follow up. It's dangerous on some level. I may have been verbose, but, I believe that tomorrow has been put off, and put off, for a reason. Tomorrow will determine a lot of things.
Maybe tomorrow is the final nail in a two and a half year coffin? Who knows? Neither do you respectfully. I think Congress has a role regardless of being in session, to promote the truth on tv to push back on the Barr report.. Questions for anyone reading:
Is there any law, ruling, or agreement that is keeping the Dems from subpoenaing the Mueller report now?
Must Pelosi or committee chairmans bring the weight of more official investigations to get the document? That's not the same as putting impeachment on the table.

And btw, how is it that Low Barr could get away with not answering questions during a hearing? He should have been found to be in contempt of Congress.

49. Situation is very fluid right now

At first DoJ/Barr said there would only be 1 redacted report given to both Congress and the public. Now, it turns out there might be as many as 3 different versions including the publicly released redacted one.

Not long after Nadler spoke, DoJ/Barr said there will another copy that's still redacted, but less so, for Congress.

Then Maddow reported on her show that as part of a DoJ filing in Roger Stone's case, the part that concerns him will be redacted, but the filing also noted that an unredacted copy of Mueller's report will be made available to a limited number of Congressmen/women and their staffs in a secure reading room (can't make copies, take it home or back to one's office to read, etc).

To further complicate matters, Maddow also reported that DC Judge Reggie Walton who is handling media FOIA requests for the Mueller report says he can decide what is made public and what isn't under the FOIA law. Walton wants the full, unredacted report for his review and decision-making process.

Is his own rewritten version that he’s “redacted” for show. The full report was probably shredded or is sitting in a White House or Trump & Co safe somewhere. Hope Mueller has a few copies stashed away and a few thumb drives of encrypted files.
