The notion that a sitting president can't be subpoenaed or indicted is bs.

Basically, it means that as long as he is in office he is above the law. Trump was cleared of any crime without ever being interviewed by Mueller or a grand jury. There are still investigations ongoing, but he will still never be forced to talk. You have impeachment, but that is no guarantee that he will be held accountable for crimes because it is a political device which is meant for removal. The supposed reason for it, is that it would be too much of a demand on the president; that's what the vice president is for.
