and still holds a grudge against Maddow?

That would be my guess. Scarborough has way too much influence at MSNBC for some reason

I went out and cut the grass. Came back in and saw sekulo on MSNBC. Couldn't take the spin. Turning to Netflix will tune back in later.

That’s probably because they’re going to actually read it instead of jumping the gun.

10. Interesting that Brian is so vilified for something that was brushed off about O'Reilly

Have we heard about lyin’ Bill lately?
The fact that Brian fudged something inconsequential has little meaning for me.

And he’s not the first public figure to have developed a false memory. I won’t name names because this is DU and because the whole point of my post is to say that creating a false memory is normal and human, but it involves Bosnia and sniper fire.

Brian Williams paid a terrible price for the kind of mistake any of us could make and probably have made, and I think he’s handled the way his life was resultantly completely changed with grace and class.

17. The big boss at NBC Andrew Lack

... really, really likes Brian Williams.

It's because of Lack that Williams wasn't fired after his fiasco a few years ago. Remember when Williams lied about that Afghanistan story and he said his plane was shot at? Anybody else would have been fired, but Lack gave him a plum job at MSNBC instead of firing him. I think the plan was to get Williams back to the nightly news eventually, but Lester Holt is doing great in Brian's old slot.

Also Rachel does analysis very well, but they don't use her for reporting and anchoring. I'm not sure why that is, maybe Rachel doesn't want to do it.

20. I think Rachel prefers her time slot

She isn't a late breaking news personality. I think she prefers to analyze what has occurred and present her viewpoint rather than to be the person on TV as they are literally trying to read the report.

She will have read the whole thing by 9pm and will do an hour on nuances in the report none of us picked up on.
