CNN: Trump told his White House lawyer to remove Mueller. He refused.

Trump told his White House lawyer to remove Mueller. He refused.

From CNN's Erica Orden

On June 17, 2017, after media reports indicated that special counsel Robert Mueller was investigating whether President Trump had obstructed justice, Trump called former White House lawyer Don McGahn at home and directed him to call the acting attorney general and say Mueller "had conflicts of interest and must be removed."

McGahn declined to do so, deciding that he would "rather resign than trigger what he regarded as a potential Saturday Night Massacre."

My guess is that it is only technically "obstruction" if the lawyer would have carried it out, so Trump tried to obstruct justice but his lawyer wouldn't let him.

Game Over is right!! Impeach!!

It will be up to congress to interpret.

I'm actually finding the report to be really damaging for Trump.

Trump.'

And this conclusion is basely upon the thoroughly gutted Mueller report provided thus far. Think of what was taken out and draw a logical conclusion upon that (w/ the redacted information added back in). There must have been gross and blatant attempts to distort the rule of law and covering it up (the attempts) far worse than what we're seeing here...far worse.

which is all redacted. Barr didn't cover any of that stuff because it is still ongoing but could also point to blatant illegal actions and future convictions.
