My better angel says impeach the effer.

Because it is the right thing to do for our republic no matter any political considerations.

My worse devil side says let’s investiagte the effer for 2 years and drip shit out every news cycle. Hold hearings galore. Make him pay publicly and politically in 2020. Dems don’t need to start impeachment and have that used against them.

I am leaning toward my devil side.

it will be one of Trump's main talking points that even the Democratic controlled house decided not impeach. Better for us politically to do the right thing and impeach him.

He thrives on being a target. A failed removal isn't going to take away any of his talking points. It would give him more.

and the casual and swing voters will ask if he was really so corrupt why was he not impeached? and convincing them because of the Senate will be a tough sell. We need the spectacle of an impeachment to educate low information voters to his level of corruption. Btw Trump is going to be a target in 2020 one way or the other it is time for Democrats to stop being intimidated by a guy that never won a popular vote.

... to impeach is some bullshit.

I'd like to see the polling on the first dem prez candidate that tries to pass on this issue or says something like the aforementioned.

If the casual and swing voters aren't paying enough attention to know the reality of the world that is Trump, then impeachment won't change their minds.

So many people keep acting like this is some kind of breaking news and that impeachment is going to be some kind of epiphany.

Newsflash: neither is true.

The vast majority of this information is already public knowledge, already in the public sphere, has already been beat to death, and nearly everyone has already made up their minds about Trump one way or another. You think moving it to a different forum is going to magically change people's minds? The same people who haven't paid any attention to the past 2+ years?

I'm sorry, but I just don't get this line of thinking. If they haven't been convinced by now, impeachment or no impeachment isn't going to matter. It's ridiculous to think people are going to decide to vote for Dems on whether or not they pursue impeachment, and not based on issues and the shitstorm that is the Trump administration.

Turn the tables on the fucking fascists; use their own dumbasses against them. Somehow get the MAGA rubes to refuse to vote, out of some confusion and resentment against the "mainstream Republican party" or something; rile them up even more to support the soulless, walking, rotting orange corpse as he continues to mentally deteriorate and fall completely apart (on TV, probably). Revel in the embarrassment and degradation.

Put out all kinds of mindfuckery and misinformation that makes the die-hard red-hats start turning on their local GOP candidates because they somehow don't support the God Emperor purely enough or something. They don't seem like they would be that hard to manipulate.

Meanwhile, cyberfuck the shit out of the Russians, feed them all kinds of bullshit through Donny Bonespurs (b/c you know full well he tells the Russians everything), and needle the fucker in the background. Investigate everything, subpoena all kinds of people from his shady past, give him no rest whatsoever. Drive him even crazier. If possible, turn him...make him into a counter-intel asset (unlikely, since I'm sure he wouldn't be able to keep it from the Russians...so better to use deceit in this case, I think.

My better angel also says the rightful thing to do would be to impeach, but such lawful approaches only work when the guys who control all those dudes with the machine guns and stuff agree to play by the rules. At this point...meh, I dunno.
