I swear, the goalposts have moved so many times in the last three years, I don't think they are even in the stadium any more.

First it wan't the Russians. Then no meetings. Then only meetings about adoption. Then lies about who was there and who knew.

I think that in order to assess the current state of affairs, you have to really look at what we were being told at every step of the way. After all is said and done, they expect everyone to be OK with this just because Trump and Putin weren't sitting in a room with Guccifer 2.0 and Wikileaks while the deed was done.

The fact is, none of this was OK. None of it. The fact that they kept changing the standard of what amounted to guilt is just bullshit and ass-covering at the highest level.

The press should do some digging in their archives and show video side-by-side with passages from the report and show what lying sacks of shit these people really are.

...that would make excellent soundbites for the Dems in both the House and Senate to be constantly repeating, in unison and in coordination. It's got to be simple and memorable so that everyone understands. This is what the Repubs excel at (and frankly nothing else).

I sure hope that Dem Representatives and Senators, as well as their staffers, monitor some of the great stuff that comes up on DU.

In addition to the legal/political issues, there is a massive PR battle to be won here for neutral or correct-thinking folks. The spin is as important as the substantive issue.
