2. IMO dems are in an unenviable place.

Nothing is being done to stop Russians or anyone else from helping Trump again.
Republicans arms are locked.
Many Americans are not plugging into politics.
Much of the media is either pushing a horse race, spinning or missing a beat or will be soon enough.

If Democrats impeach, there is going to be such a machine in place that will work against them, I fear that it could cause us to lose to Trump again.
I think they should investigate to broadcast the findings of the misdeeds and abuse and do lower level impeachments (like Barr) and discipline those that they can up until the election. Other Democrats that are running.. or are not on certain committees, should work on getting our messages out.

Given Hoyer's apparent lack of enthhusiasm today over impeachment, I'm setting low expectations. As #2 in the Dem caucus, his postion on the subect arent necessarily his own. His ass has fallen in line with the Speaker...probably as it should be...usually.

Personally, I'd focus on winning 2020. It would suck to lose impeachent (likely considering make up of the Senate) while at the same time losing 2020.
