11. The smoking gun tape of Nixon was him asking the CIA to stop the FBI investigation.

The CIA refused, but that did not save Nixon. That tape is what turned the Republicans against him and he was impeached for obstruction of justice.

Yet Trump similarly asked Sessions to stop the FBI/Special Counsel investigation. Sessions didn't do it. Then he fired Sessions. But today's Republicans see no obstruction since Trump did not get Mueller fired.

they would be more than willing to do so. But then...they are not honorable or even patriotic men.

I would hope that among them at least one or two would step forward now to express their dismay. But we all know they won't.

Now they know they, too, may need master manipulator Pooty's help winning elections because they offer the vast majority of their constituents virtually nothing to vote for other than institutionalized bigotry and demonization/hatred of "the other guy." Gotta stick with Pooty's plan until something else comes along. Why do you think they haven't gotten serious about preventing election meddling?
