It would prove that if the President's party simply obstructs and protects him or her long enough, the opposing party will concede and move on.
2) Failure to impeach Trump will embolden an already out of control Republican party and POTUS
Just as children learn what they can and can't get away with, the Democrats would be teaching Republicans and Trump that they can keep pushing the envelope further and further.
3) If not now, when?
After what we’ve learned in just the unredacted portions of the Mueller report (can you even imagine how damaging the redacted portions must be?), can we seriously choose to look the other way?
Where is the red line?

More at link. I would add one more reason--it is our (Democrats') DUTY to stand on the right side of history and the Constitution. If the repug Senators don't vote to convict, let them stand on the WRONG side of history, and let them and their criminal-enabling party be judged accordingly by history.
