That the garage camera was pointed directly at the Tesla when this happened. If it pointed at the Audi, we wouldn't have known it was a Tesla.

It just doesn't normally make the news.

The Sincerity Ace container ship fire a few months back was believed to have started this way. Manufacturing defect in the battery or car's electrical system creates enough heat for something to ignite. Once ignited, cars are really flammable.

Almost arrested by the FD for pushing it out onto the driveway after he called it in.

My fire (see below) was i the driveway, but I sure as hell would have pushed it out of the garage too.

burned up in my driveway.

News media could have cared less.

The defect was a cruise control switch which later became the subject a recall, but it's it was only notable to my neighbors and the HOA (due to scortch marks on the driveway)

That was starting F-150s, and expeditions on fire while parked? Lots of houses burned down iirc.
