(HuffPost) The House Speaker wrote about the aftermath of the Mueller report in a letter to her colleagues.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a letter sent to Democrats on Monday acknowledged efforts to seek impeachment against President Donald Trump following Robert Muellers report but stressed that finding the truth should take precedent.
While our views range from proceeding to investigate the finding of the Mueller report or proceeding directly to impeachment, we all firmly agree that we should proceed down a path of finding the truth, she stated. We must show the American people we are proceeding free from passion or prejudice, strictly on the presentation of fact.

(5,624 posts)regarding emoluments since day one in office. many of his staff lied on their clearance forms early in the administration. theres plenty more, so i disagree that its premature. it should have started as soon as pelosi regained the gavel.

(51,574 posts)Trump welcomed a Russian attack on our country in order to gain office, then obstructed our Justice Department, sacking an AG and an FBI Director in order to stop the investigation into that attack. This is horrifically worse than Watergate.
What Trump did is waaaay beyond mere unethical behavior.

(7,633 posts)I love Obama but he should have steamrolled right over Mitch and aw, too bad if he didn't like it. There was clear evidence that a foreign power was attacking us as sure as if actual weapons had been used. McTurtle's threats to scream "Partisanship" should have been laughed at since he did that damn near every day anyway. But, 20/20 in hindsight and all that I guess.

(6,905 posts)It has never been done in our history and only two Presidents have been impeached. Neither was convicted. Nancy Pelosi is acting like the grown up legislator and patriotic American that we should expect our elected representatives to be.
