I have much more respect for those who hunt bears with bow and arrow. Because it is a risky hunt.

Animals suffer for months from arrows in their legs and backs. I've spoken with rangers who deal with he animals dying slowly from infection and rotting flesh. I do target archery. I watch these bow hunters at at the ranges. They are not the marksmen they think they are. Mostly they inflict pain.

A bullet wound is bad too. I don't think you should be able to get a hunting license until you can prove your skill. 10 out of 10 of a moving target at fifty yards.

I agree with Temple Grandin. Nature is cruel. We don't have to be.

hit with bow and arrow until it collapses. Sure any wound is painful, even a paper-cut. But the animal just gets weak from blood loss and falls down. Not anywhere as bad as killing a bull in bull fights with thousand cuts with the matador's spear. But I can see your point that if the animal escapes wounded, it's end won't be pretty.

If you are going to hunt. Become a marksman. A real marksman. Learn the terrain. Don't drink and hunt. Don't do anything that could be considered inhumane. Maiming an animal and letting it die slowly in pain is the usual end of bow hunting.

I know a large portion of the population thinks hunting is noble and fine. A large portion of the population also thinks trump is sent from god to save America. I get that we kill animals to eat. That nature designed that system. But I don't get wanting to harm and hurt animals for fun. People hunt with bows for fun. They could hunt with cameras. That is difficult and requires training and skill. But it doesn't hurt the animal. The fun seems to be the pain part.

8. Please patronize Jersey Mike's as an alternative (if they're in your area). They put charitable

contributions at the forefront, and donated 100% of SALES to charities on March 27th, the "Day of Giving".

A local example - they were raising funds for a local chapter of Junior Achievement, and were selling coupons for a free sandwich (normally $8-9) if you were willing to give $5 for JA. I have no affiliation at all with the company - just looked into them once they came to my area about a year ago.

There is at least one Jimmy Jones near where I live. I have never eaten there because I passed near it when it had a grand opening and the types of vehicles that were there caused me to look past it.

There is a Firehouse Subs place, but have never been in there.

I will do a search for a Jersey Mike's near me, my guess if there is one, it's in Gainesville, a far, far more progressive city than mine.

ours all closed over 15 years ago. For a little while I could get some in Savannah when we visited my wife's cousin but he died and we haven't been back since.

But I got a Jersey Mike's a mile from my house and a half a mile from my work and even if the other places didn't have repulsive owners, JM's would be my choice every time. Great subs and the folks running the ones by me are super kind and helpful.

oh, and the best part about the JM by my house is I get to drive right past a Jimmy John and a Chik-Fil-A to get to Mike's.
