Here we go again! The "never trumper" morning analysts and anchors are

busy trying to tell people how they should think about all the democratic candidates. They are worse than the Russians and they are also guilty of why drumpf is President. There are times when they are so far off base. I wish they would just report straight news and let people make their own decisions.

Every NeverTrumper pundit spent their careers in Republican messaging and conservative media: campaign consultants, talk show hosts, speech writers, etc. They know plenty of rocks to turn over, plenty of closets with skeletons in them, plenty of places where the bodies are buries.

Give.

Spill.

Turn in state's evidence.

Point out the weak spots where hitting them will do the most good.

It's time for you to burn some bridges, to wreck a few of your former comrades' careers.

If all you're going to do is blather about our people and what we should be doing, STFU. You all had a hand in turning your party into what it is today, and as long as you sit around pretending to be the Republican leadership-in-exile -- waiting to be restored and get back to exactly the same thing you were doing before Trump once he's out of the picture -- you're f**king useless.

I have implored this board until my fingers nearly bled to shake the cable news habit. It's no use.

It sounds like a broken refrigerator rattling out of control. Nothing but redundant corporate news themes sandwiched in between a endless corporate advertising of insurance and investment brokers and pharmaceutical ads. I do Rachel and Lawrence only and DVR those so I can fast forward through the commercials. God I hate commercials.

anyone who operates from any other framework does not get it ...

The entire GOP needs an industrial strength enema.

The Democratic party has its many faults, but on its worst day it is 1,000,000,000,000 times better than the cancer that is "conservatism."

It took years of republican political tactics and governing to bring us to an anomaly like Trump. He was not an accident, he was a result. Republicans had no problem with gerrymandering, voter suppression, dirty politics, and mostly lying to the base and not delivering on the promises made.

The last three republican primaries were a circus sideshow, because the party had become a joke and even the dumbest of the base had figured that out. Trump didn't talk like them or act like them and for some reason the base thought THAT was better than republicans-as-usual.

Yes, republicans need a total transformation, but I have a feeling that they are finished. Unfortunately something will crop up to replace them, as corporate America won't relinquish control of government. Ideally, Democrats will be in control long enough to undo most of the damage they have done.

The media is not why Trump was elected. People who think that are doomed to repeat history, unless they learn the lessons of what happened.

I'm pretty sure the Dem leaders are aware of what cost them the election.

If you think the media has power to elect Trump, then they are the ones who got Democrats elected during the mid-terms. And they are the ones who elected Obama....twice.

15. One of the lessons I've learned is that the media can be manipulated.

Actually, I already knew that because I know people who work in PR, and manipulating media is their entire job.

Obama got elected, in part, because he had good relations with the media and provided a narrative they liked. The media can't elect you, but they can give you a boost or knock you down.

Mon Apr 29, 2019, 08:43 AM

the overall vote wasn't that high, turnout wasn't all that high, Trump didn't really get a lot of votes.

What I learned from that was that something happened to cause Democratic voters to stay home. Russian trolls and bots carried out a cyber warfare to help Trump. Russian trolls and bots convinced many Bernie voters that he was cheated. I also believe that voting machines flipped votes, whether it was done by Russians or Republicans who pre-programmed the machines or both.

Dare I say this? Maybe the reason that people stayed home was because we ran a moderate candidate? I don't know if that is true. I do know that the millennials and younger than millennial voters will stay home if we nominate a Joe Lieberman-like candidate in 2020, Just my opinion.

Of course the M$M helped elect Trump, it covered every one of his hate fest rallies. There isn't one cable news network that leans left. Soon the narrative in the M$M will be the investigations into the crooked FBI and into Democrats who carried out a witch hunt against Trump. Think about that.

When has the M$M called for Trump to be impeached? There is so much evidence out there that Trump deserves to be impeached. He is an unindicted co-conspirator in a felony for god's sake, and yet the narrative we see on the M$M is, are Democrats overreaching in pushing for impeachment? Trump is a Putin puppet, he fucking told people to violate the law and then he would pardon them, and the narrative on the M$M is, are Democrats overreaching?

Of course the M$M helped elect Trump, it is complicit with right wing corporate America. Why else do working class men and women constantly vote against their own best interests? Because they are easily brainwashed.

They just don't like that Trump is the messanger for them.

Are any of them on the cable shows bashing Mitch McConnell? Nope, because he's doing exactly what they want by obstructing any forward-looking or progressive or even plain common-sense legislation and putting conservative judges on the bench.
