The Steele Dossier

Was the Steele Dossier really disproven by the Mueller Report? I saw either Attorney General William Barr, or Senator Chuck Grassely claim that the Steele Dossier was disproven by the Mueller Report. Later I went to the store and saw a newspaper with a headline stating that the Steele Dossier had been disproven by the Mueller Report. So, is that true? Has the Steele Dossier been disproven?

So Putin thinks it is legit-enough to act swiftly and tie up loose ends.

Other than that, most of the contents have been at least tangentially proven correct.

Trump was certain the Russians were going to release a compromising video of him that would end his election chances.

Now, if he survived the Access Hollywood "Grab 'em by the pussy" tape, what would be worse than that?

It was a compendium of information about Russian contacts/influence on Trump and his campaign. Steele was chosen to compile the info because of his connections with Russian sources. He used sources he felt were reliable and included anything that was plausible enough to warrant further investigation.

The company Steele was contracted to was initially hired by a GOP primary candidate and when they dropped out, the company shopped it to the Dems.

Most of what was in it was known by multiple other sources, that's why the FBI was already working on investigations before it surfaced. Steele just put into a package for a client.
