Does anybody know anything about 'The Examiner'??

I googled 'latest polls' and the top two articles were from 'The Examiner'. One was entitled "Latest polls show U.S. Senate shifting sharply for Republican majority" and the other was "Mitt Romney maintains strong electoral lead according to state polls". Glancing through the articles, it seems pretty obviously to have a conservative/GOP bias. But what I am wondering is how it manages to have the top two spots on Google?

According to this, its reputation for accuracy isn't the greatest.

Examiner.com is a division of Clarity Media Group, with the primary investor being billionaire businessman Philip Anschutz, owner of Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), Regal Cinemas, and other media and entertainment companies.[3][4][6] Examiner.com has over 55,000 contributors,[2] commonly referred to on the site as "Examiners."

The company derives its name from Anschultz/Clarity's 2004 purchase of the San Francisco Examiner, which had previously owned the examiner.com domain.[7]

Thanks Liann. The first time a site I trusted referred to a piece in the Examiner I was shocked by a really bad rightwing rant and tried to find out what the Examiner was, not easy to do until you click on their "Partner Links" which are all part of the worldwide Anschutz company. We know him well in Colorado (he gave $100mil to have the CU Medical School named after him.) We also know the way he has made his billions and he's right up with the Koch brothers in funding the most conservative politics we have, including Joe Coors' run for Senator. We have many good Democrats in Colorado, unfortunately not many come close to Anschutz money.
