I don't think drumpf will start a war

Been hearing the dire warnings that war is coming since he took office but it doesn't fit his M.O.

Drumpf is, above all else, two things:

1. Lazy
2. Greedy

War is a LOT of work. Briefings, reports, late now decisions to be made. Will definitely cut into his "executive time". I don't think he wants any part of managing a war. He already blows off the daily briefings on military and intelligence matters because he just wants to watch TV.

And he'd rather be grifting the taxpayer for free golf trips and making money renting golf carts to the secret service.

I think he might lob some cruise missiles just to look like a "big man" in front of the blood thirsty deplorables (like he did in Syria), but i don't think all out war will happen.

Just my two cents.

He goes full steam ahead without thinking, then realizing he made a mistake he doubles down on it and the country is left to pick up the pieces. He is a rash, impulsive sociopath and narcissistic sadist who will do anything without thinking about consequences. His pals will do all the "work" for him. Look to Bolton to do the dirty war-work, he loves it.

4. I agree with your assessment of Trump, but disagree with the statement.

He is lazy and greedy. He also likes to break things and likes to look tough. If his situation domestically gets bad enough with impeachment or other moves by Congress, he will do what he needs to do to create a distraction. You also have to remember that he is easily manipulated. Bolton and Pompeo are moving him into position where he may just have to start something with Iran even if he may not personally care or want to do so.

Trump is lazy which is why he would likely leave the planning to Bolton and the generals and be the mouthpiece for the war. He is greedy so his motivation will be to "get the oil" like he criticized Bush and Obama for not doing in Iraq.

What we will get unfortunately is an ugly and costly war with a country that unlike Iraq, is not a pushover.

6. Bolton, Pompeo, Abrams (and others

in the regime) all circle-jerking for war somewhere --- anywhere --- Iran, Venezuela, N. Korea, Other. They'll drag Trump along for the ride, particularly if Trump sees the distraction value from his other woes factor.
