Kendrick Castillo, American hero.

While Trump & supporters at rally yesterday, reacted by laughing when someone shouted about shooting immigrants at the border, this Hispanic boy lay dead after losing his life trying to save others from a shooter.
Did anyone say his name?
He is Kendrick Castillo, American hero.

Seems like a genuinely wonderful young man with real nice, heartbroken parents. A real big loss.

Then I drifted to thinking of the families and/or friends of past victims, who tried to make the senseless loss of their young victim count by changing laws. People like Reema Samaha's father (Virginia Tech) or David Hogg (Parkland) or families of young Sandy Hook victims, Moms Demand Action, etc, etc. These events have to be a painful reminder to them that the loss of these children didn't matter to too many elected officials in their government. What a disgrace as they have so little to show for their senseless loss and emotional efforts to make sure it doesn't happen to someone else.

confirms for me that Republicans, like their manipulators, just don't care about human life. Such hypocrites, save the unborn and ignore the lax gun laws that contribute to murders of our school children.
imo

Feed for several days.
His sacrifice touches our souls deeply, sadly.
It should never come to this. It is heartbreaking on so many levels.
America is failing our children.

The only time the Banana Republicans express their love for the US Constitution is when it applies to the 2nd Amendment regarding AK-47s.

We're losing our future when our best citizens are being slaughtered in our own schools.

If it doesn't directly effect a Republican politician, it doesn't exist.

This is why, even if you fancy yourself a free marketer, a conservative in the traditional sense, even an independent, etc. you cannot vote for a Republican.

How can you properly govern if you don't even see the life circumstances of more than half of the country.

It's truly crushing to come to the realization that so many of our fellow citizens have absolutely no empathy in them.

I hope we find our way soon.

...against an intruder. The solid, windowless doors--which open out and which I cannot lock--can be jammed shut by wrapping my belt around the commercial door closer mechanisms (the bending arm at the top of the door).

It's pathetic that they've even had to figure it out. And as our "leaders" think and pray...again.

From now on the press fixates on the bravery of people like him rather than the pathology of the killers. Once all the attention is taken away, there will be less motivation to kill.

What a handsome young man and now he is our 'National Hero". It breaks my heart that he had to give his life!! He would have had so much to give to our lives and to the future.

Before now, I doubt I would have thought that such a blockhead, barely capable of holding one thought in his head at a time, could engender such a morass of feelings.
