White Georgia politician believes racial mixing goes against the BibleIm a Christian and my Christian beliefs are you dont do interracial marriage, Councilman Jim Cleveland told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.Thats the way I was brought up and thats the way I believe.
I have black friends, I hired black people, Cleveland continued. But when it comes to all this stuff you see on TV, when you see Blacks and Whites together, it makes my blood boil because thats just not the way a Christian is supposed to live.

That is not a Christian belief-- it is his belief using Christianity to legitimize it.

I have been surprised at some of the old white wingers that live there who have been interviewed by Atlanta media. Most have said, Thats just not right.
Dont know if thats what they said privately; but, there was a time when most would have said, Heck, yeah, while the talking head would nod in agreement. I guess theres a tad of improvement. Fortunately, Atlanta is a different story.
