Does Donald Trump really think Abraham Lincoln lost the Civil War?

However, when asked about the tour later in the day, it sounded more and more like Trump thought Abraham Lincoln lost the Civil War. You read that right.

Red Sox chairman Tom Werner spoke to reporters after the White House tour and said this happened:

Trump "is a pretty good raconteur of history and he did say that, uh—he was talking about Abraham Lincoln losing the war and said ‘Well, I know you guys have lost a game or two, but this was a war.’”

The Blue Socks won the Uncivil War, the Argyle Socks won the World Cup, and the Brown Socks won the 2 Girls 1 Cup. This was after the Pink Socks won the Fine China Bowl but before the Green Socks won the Spelling Bowl, which was founded by Aaron Spelling with the prize money from when the team he was on, the Plum Socks, won the Tori Trophy. Fun trivia: he named one of his daughters after that triumph. She in turn used the money from her acting career to host the Double-Dee Cup Series, which was first won by the Black Fishnet Stockings, sponsored by Victoria's Secret and the Greater Los Angeles Council of Plastic Surgeons.

The White Socks won the Silver Bowl, of course, but it tarnished their reputation pretty quickly. The Rainbow Socks were cheated out of their championship at the Pasta Bowl, which resulted in a prolonged struggle to reform the corrupt officiating; this was called the Bowl Movement.

It’s all past and dead and stuff. He wasn’t in the past so what does it matter anyway.

His own rise is a portion of it. If you have lived in the Deep South for a handful of decades, you can see how its politics and norms have bled into the rest of the country and resulted in the situation we have today.
