Trump and Putin talk over the phone, Putin says: "I got you elected, now do ME a favour. Stop trying to overthrow Maduro." Trump says "But then who will I rattle my sabre at to get re-elected." Putin answers: "Try Iran."
--Trump complies, lays off Maduro at the request of Putin.
Trump says to Bibi Netanyahu: "I'll help you get re-elected, if you help me get re-elected."
--Trump moves the US Embassy to Jerusalem, and (just days before the election) officially recognizes the Golan Heights as part of Israel. Netanyahu gets re-elected.
--Netanyahu turns around and supplies (ginned up) 'secret' intelligence that Iran is plotting something, giving Captain-Moustache Bolton something to rattle his sabre at.
Trump sends Giuliani to Ukraine, and asks the pro-Putin party to dig up dirt on Joe Biden's son, so he can use it in the election. No doubt there is a reciprocal agreement that if they find dirt on Biden, Trump will work to get THEM back into power in Ukraine, pleasing Putin as well.
THIS IS BULLSHIT, and these people need to be called out on it. The news media shouldn't be wasting their time on election horse races, and subpoena battles. They should be covering THIS.
Never before has the United States foreign police apparatus been turned into a MACHINE to fill the pockets and ambitions of one or two kleptocrats. Sure, US DOMESTIC policy has been doing that for decades, thanks to corruption from lobbyists. But US FOREIGN policy was never used for that.
