a level of privilege that can ride out changes in who holds political power. Some people are not aware of this privilege. On a political board, most people here probably vote, but this meme can be used to help talk to people who say they're just "dropping out of politics" because it "doesn't make a difference" or "is all the same."

And for the record, the OP said nothing about "White Men". Lots of people are privileged enough to be capable of "checking out" of politics.
Honestly, we might be better off if a bunch of white men DID check out of politics. Not all, just the ones who use their privilege like a cudgel to keep others around them down and oppressed.
