.
It's out now, with a lot at the link:
William Ingraham Koch lives five blocks away from President Donald Trumps Mar-a-Lago resort, where he is a member. The only one of the four billionaire Koch brothers to support Trump, Bill Koch even hosted a Trump campaign fundraiser at his Cape Cod vacation home in August 2016. Co-chairs were asked to donate or raise $100,000 for the event; simply attending cost $2,700.
Atop the invitation to Kochs home? Trump Finance Chairman Steven T. Mnuchin, now Treasury Secretary of the United States, whose duties include overseeing the Internal Revenue Service.
In part one of the Koch Papers, we revealed that Bill Koch has enjoyed hundreds of millions of dollars of untaxed profits from his carbon-based businesses, having shifted profits earned in the United States to a subsidiary in the Bahamas. A 2016 whistleblower complaint prompted an IRS criminal investigation, but the IRS halted all communication with the whistleblowers attorneys shortly after Trump became president.
In part two, well explore how Kochs businesses withheld critical documents, stymying IRS auditors. Well also publish the contents of the June 2017 email that signaled the IRS had stopped pursuing the complaint against Kochs businesses, five months after Trump took office.
These documents are among nearly a thousand pages obtained by DCReport@RawStory, which we refer to as the Koch Papers.

(46,047 posts)Even those of us who aren't for impeaching Trump now feel sure it will happen at the right time. (Like in the middle of the 2020 election.) But honestly, wouldn't impeaching a couple of corrupt cabinet officials be a great way to get the ball rolling now? Clearly, Barr and Mnuchin are breaking the law at Trump's behest.
I would love the spectacle of impeaching them. Most of the evidence would consist of Trump's orders to them to break the law. More evidence to use against Trump.

The moochers in Red States need to bleed money from Blue States because they can not run functional governments.
Conservatism is an abject failure in practice, though it sells well for the ignorance fucks who follow it.
So, when you read posts about those socialism-sucking under-producers, it's always some nebulous reasoning to justify the theft of money to provide for their lame asses who refuse to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I have no problem giving to people in tough times or who know their plight, but I take issue with conservatives who profess their disdain for socialism while sucking on the teet of it. They complain about paying for others in sloth, but have no issue doing the same--if it benefits them.
Most of them look at a program then can tap into as deserved. If they can't plug into it, then it's a tax on them.

(4,831 posts)He opened a fully staffed office and sent people around to fishermen groups and environmentalists (concerned about damaging the sea floor) to raise more money and opposition to the plan which would put windmills in waters just off his shore line south of Cape Cod. They were in business for about 5 years until finally all financing dried up for the project and a new site was established federally 15 or 20 miles south and (mostly, we hope) out of sight.
The whole family of 4 brothers are like Trump, spoiled rotten with inherited money and thoughtless of anyone else.

Not a conservative by any means and uses his largess to support the arts and has been instrumental in finding and preserving many original and previously thought lost musical manuscripts from some of the world's most famous composers.
