This is from May, but it probably still obtains:

The Hill, a newspaper/Website that circulates among Washington insiders, is out today with its analysis of Florida congressional races. And Alan Grayson’s campaign was quick to note that the publication said he’s “heavily favored” to win his race for the new CD9, an east Orange/Osceola county district that’s more than 40 percent Hispanic but also includes large chunks of the existing CD8 that Grayson represented for two years before losing in 2010 to U.S. Rep. Dan Webster, R-Winter Garden.

“Redistricting in Florida created opportunities for Democrats, including a new seat in the Orlando area where former Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) is heavily favored to win,” the publication writes. “The Hill projects that Democrats will pick up between two and three seats in Florida this cycle.”

Last night I read an article saying Todd Long needed the equivalent of a lottery win to beat him.

My understanding is the new distract they're running in runs mostly Dem, and Grayson has better fundraising abilities than Long. Grayson is currently polling in the lead.

At least on an email level, I've never seen such tenacity. Good god he's friggin' relentless.

I thought it was a lost cause... so I figured I wouldn't ante-up. ( I have limited capital; but more than usual since I'm holding off on Obama and the national party 'til they send me a sign that there's going to be a change in fed. education policy in term 2).

But if Grayson's looking at least competitive....

There's no one I'd rather see in congress.
