"What is conservatism? Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried?"

No, that conservative political behavior and ideology are now long dead too. In fact, among the first things to be purged in the Republican Party takeover.

moderate republican from the 1980s is what Obama said about himself. Joe B. is your man this year. He has ,in the past mind you, been conservative enough to be moderate 1980s republican.I can't afford RomneyCare.
We should nominate someone solidly Left.
Put the shoe on the other foot.
What choice would you have?
Vote for the orange monster? No way
Party insiders already have health insurance, a salary that pays for food & shelter, etc.And they don't have superior economic or political science knowledge or wisdom.
Let's roll back those permanent Bush tax cuts!!
Reagan's restructuring of taxes sucked, we could go so radically Liberal we could adopt Dwight D Eisenhower's agenda!!

The biggest single difference is in attitude toward equality. Liberals believe in equality, conservatives not so much. Universal rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are intrinsically liberal, while conservatives have fought them ever since liberals established them through our constitution.

And there are many other very basic differences. We even see moral issues and humanity itself through different eyes. MRIs of the brain can usually predict where a person is liberal or conservative because we use different areas of our brains differently, even process information in different directions.

We all have enough in common for great overlap in policy achieved through compromise and cooperation -- the only reason representative government is possible and how some become confused about who is who -- but Biden, who's spent 50 years in the exercise of democracy, has always been liberal.

Now, the Reps represent the money men who buy the tv, radio, & newspaper media who shape and frame the debate. War is still a racket. Americans dig through my apt's dumpster looking for food. Pharma's pushing opiates. Overlapping policies have made equal opportunity a relic. The tranquilizer of gradualism eased our pain, and the southern strategy slid us backwards. So how do we restore the Voting rights act of 1965, jail cops who murder, and put a chicken in every pot.w/o moving the party left.

who are reelecting profoundly corrupt people who are betraying instead of representing them. They've been trained to blame all problems on Democrats while the overlords Republican officials now serve sack our nation and dismantle our systems.

On the plus side, we don't need their voters all to wake up and say no more, only some, and some are. Without election theft, they'd already never have won another national election. We already are a solid majority, just need to be larger still.

And I would agree we should recruit Rs to vote D. The best course, I think is still to move left. A wise old President named Clinton once said money is like bullshit. If you spread it out, it will fertilize a bumper crop, if you just leave it in a pile it just stinks up the place. Democrats should be in the business of putting some of Warren's solutions into practice. I can hear italready, "Where are you going to get the money yall are just tax &spend, pie in the sky" Well The Pentagon got an extra 80 billion they didn't even ask for last yr. And thier budget has gone up 30%or so in the last 10yrs. There's money to strengthen the Homeland.
So that's why Tulsi needs to be on the debate stage. Secure election integrity, put a leash on the wars of aggression.Nobody else is talking about those two things.

Herbet Hoover was classic GOP. Their philosophy has always been a reverse Robin Hood type lie that giving money to the rich is better than giving it to the poor. The GOP is all about cutting taxes on the rich, deregulating and letting the robber barons rule, all while lying that giving to the rich is the best wa to take care of the poor. They're basically fascists.

Listen to what FDR had to say about GOP lies (sounds like he's talking about Trump!):
