(17,986 posts)30 yars ago. Sitting on my second floor sun porch I felt the earth shake. Family in the house did not feel it.
But the 15 tornados Memorial Day played havoc in this area. Parts were wiped out.

(4,393 posts)I remember it because I was at my kid's school helping make pizza for a party lunch. It was a fairly long noisy one, and a lot of the moms thought the boiler was going to blow. It was quickly identified as an earthquake. When I got home, the cookbooks on the shelf above the sink were in it; other items had also fallen off the shelves. Lucky I was with a group because it would have really freaked me out at home alone. DH was in a basement office in downtown Cleveland and also felt a good shake.
