Scott Jennings (R-Asshole) on CNN tonight ...

… in response to Kellyanne Conway’s repeated violations of the Hatch Act, his argument was as follows: (1) It’s an old, outdated law that doesn’t apply in modern circumstances, and (2) when Kellyanne violated the Hatch Act, she did so by simply responding to questions asked by journalists.

With respect to (2), how was Kellyanne obligated to respond to questions by breaking the law? By this reasoning, if she were asked to divulge classified information by a reporter, she would be blameless if she divulged said info simply because she was asked for it.

As for (1), perhaps Jennings could enlighten us all by citing the legislation that states that if anyone finds a law to be ‘old and outdated’, they are free to break that law without consequence.

In these extremely troubled times, we have to find our laughs where we can – and watching GOP spokes-whores twisting themselves into pretzels trying to defend the obvious law-breaking of this “pResident” and his cohorts is beyond entertaining.

I'm also wondering if trump will use this to get rid of her because of her husband.

I guess she and her husband will make a fortune with their love/hate show on the lecture circuit, a book and tour or on a new nightclub routine.

It's that quaint thing about not prosecuting sitting presidents, no matter how many crimes they've committed.

she wouldn't contribute to candidates, or even post support for them on Facebook. "I don't want to violate the Hatch Act!" (And she was GRATEFUL for the Hatch Act as it kept the political appointees in the department from being able to press her to support their candidates.)

Conway is nothing but a political hack. Nothing. She has nothing to do in the WH but spew political garbage from her mouth. She is a real disgrace to the civil service, and a constant reminder of why we have a civil service.

BTW, her salary is 3 times what my sister earned doing actual work for the government.

My only consolation is that Conway's husband must constantly be giving her sht for working for that creep.
