should be VERY skeptical of any claims about Iran. Not saying that they're (Iran) saints by any means but Bolton (and probably Pompeo) are jonesing for a war/conflict with Iran and the decision to rip up the Iran Nuclear Agreement was likely purposely meant to antagonize Iran and potentially lead to a conflict with them (this is one reason why treaties help prevent war/conflict).

Edit: I confused the Bay of Pigs with the pretext for our starting the Spanish American war—the blowing up of the battleship Maine in Havana harbor.

The 2nd reference is to the Gulf of Tonkin. This was turned into a major provocation when it was most likely some over zealous NV sailors.
