Ark. cop to be reprimanded after in-car death

This is about the young man who while handcuffed managed to commit "suicide"........ these are a couple of comments - these are "peace" officers and it is sickening.

An internal investigation found Officer Ron Marsh didn't conduct a thorough enough search of 21-year-old Chavis Carter

mikeb - what, you were hoping the officer wouldn't be given appropriate discipline for the circumstances? You were hoping he would be made a scapegoat to appease the black community? I think you need to clarify your ambiguous post, because from what I can tell it's a negative response to an otherwise positive story. Did the officer make a mistake? Yes. Will he learn from it? Hopefully. But he won't lose his career due to bogus political pressure.

Why does it always have to be a white or black thing. I am so sick of the black race-card being thrown in. It was a police officer doing his job, granted he missed the gun but the "Hood Rat" killed him self thank god, and not the officer or officers that placed him under arrest. Just do better next time guys and remember you always want to go home safe, and the bad guys go ether way, Dead or Alive. And as for the Department what they did what they had to do also.
