The folks that blasted reuniting a Cuban child/family now run separation camps

Remember the outrage at Reno/Clinton sending Elian Gonzalez got back to his father instead of staying in Miami with aunts/uncles?

Those same people now insist that the kids at the border can only be reunited with a proven birth parent.

BTW - Used the term "separation camp" because while they are concentration camps, some folks prefer they be referenced by purpose, i.e. internment or death camps.

On that note, initially the Nazi's walled off the ghettos, then sent undesirables to camps to isolate them and also as labor camps (family separation). Once out of sight of the average populace, their captors' limitations were removed.

It was all anyone ever discussed politically. For weeks on end. Journalists had a campout at his aunts house.

And we have virtually thousands of Elian Gonzalez' now. Thousands. It's absolutely mind boggling how this isn't the biggest story to ever happen. Ever.

Would love to hear one of the candidates/pundits toss this out.

ETA: Maybe our candidate could invite Elian to the 1st Pres debate? His Wiki page says he'd like to visit the states to thank us.

The ones who bragged how they would fight the government to the death, and lied about the actual raid?

Are they still telling their stories to make money from the Batista groupies?
