Just heard on ABC that there is the threat of terrorist attacks during 4th of July

Does anyone have any idea what's up? I did not catch the source of this, but assume DOJ or Homeland Security.

To be charged with terrorism, a person has to be suspected of acting on behalf of one of nearly 60 groups that the State Department has declared a foreign terrorist organization. Some are well-known, including the Islamic State and al-Qaida, while others are far more obscure. Most, but not all, are Islamist.

Even proclaimed anti-government bomber Timothy McVeigh couldn't be charged with terrorism.

The Patriot Act defines domestic terrorism in black and white terms, but it does nothing more than give the federal government broad authority to investigate basically anyone they want that's linked to the suspect. What it doesn't do is establish a federal criminal statute for domestic terrorism.
