Restaurant owner who kicked Sarah Sanders out last year DEFENDS server who spat on Eric Trump

The Virginia restaurant owner who kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders out of her restaurant last year is defending the Chicago cocktail bar server who spat in Eric Trump's face last week, saying politicians involved in 'spreading hate' should consider dining at home.

Stephanie Wilkinson made headlines last year when she booted Sanders out of her restaurant the Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia.

Now she's backing the unnamed server at the upscale Chicago bar The Aviary who spat in Eric Trump's face as he walked in on Tuesday night and was briefly detained by Secret Service agents.

Wilkinson says restaurants are 'a part of the soundstage for our ongoing national spectacle'.

'Whether the bar or restaurant serves merely as the backdrop... or takes an active role in the drama, as was the case with Cracker Barrel, Aviary or my restaurant last June, the business involved inevitably comes under attack,' Wilkinson wrote in an opinion piece for the Washington Post published Friday.

'A portion of the public will scold owners and managers about "staying in their lane" and express chagrin at the loss of a perceived "politics-free zone,"' she added.

While I'm no fan of the Trumps I think spitting on someone is going a bit too far. That is unless he started some shit.

should get to discriminate based on some professed 'religious' belief, then they surely should be able to similarly refuse service.

In reality, I wish all this would go away and we'd treat each other in public respectfully, But our world is really not so "Utopic"...

From the restaurant owner's piece in the Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/restaurants-are-now-a-soundstage-for-our-national-spectacle-and-the-rules-have-shifted/2019/06/28/52401ef2-99b9-11e9-8d0a-5edd7e2025b1_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.a80c815cb7ff)

In the second instance, a server at Aviary, an upscale Chicago cocktail bar, was briefly detained by the Secret Service after allegedly spitting in the face of Eric Trump while the president’s son was visiting the city on business.

Happily, there was more widespread support for Cracker Barrel than for the spitting server. A hatemonger with murderous intent doesn’t deserve anyone’s hospitality. But no one in the industry condones the physical assault of a patron.

He actually asked them to let her go. I never ever would have thought of this type of behavior from any trump. I do think it was wrong for her to do that and it does not matter who you spit on, you can still be arrested for getting body fluid on the person.

She committed a crime and by not pressing charges other people will think that they can get away with it. Civility is losing in America.

....do the time.

In the meantime, of course, set up a gofundme page to cover your expenses. Or one of those other crowdfunding sites.

Hunt the fuckers. Make their public lives the equivalent of the public lives they shove down the throats of others.

Take video. Post it. Ridicule them. Get paid.

Do well doing good.

Decent folks will support you.

Decent folks won't support the assholes who complain, especially if in public.

If they do, tie them and their offline business/social lives to the original complaint.
