Relatively few will actually see Trump on the steps.

At least that's how it appears to me.

It looks like all sight lines beyond the immediate invited ticket area have been blocked. While I think I know why that is, it still limits the actual audience to perhaps a few thousand, much like any other rally he holds. This one is outdoors so Secret Service had to make accommodation.

This isn't the view the cameras will see. Instead- in the real spirit of TV marketing- I imagine the cameras will be shooting opposite from a low angle in order to suggest greatness. Hopefully the cable news networks other than Fox will bring a very high lift boom.

Anywhere beyond the invited area where someone could stand and watch is blocked by strategically placed bunting and scaffolding.

I don't see anywhere troops can pass in review or roll vehicles past the stage. An elevated view could help see the layout. Perhaps the spectacle will be carefully staged as to appear larger and right at Trump's feet, like a 200 foot parade(?).

It's beginning to look like Trump will get more of a private rally on the public dime (with news coverage) rather than an actual address to the nation. Scammed us again!

I think they were always handing tix out to anyone. JohnnyRingo Jul 2019 #3
If it was open to the public and had media coverage, we'd see all the empty seats Rhiannon12866 Jul 2019 #2

...out to anyone, with no organization or intent.

Chaos, as usual.

...but people had to go to the RNC for them. VIP seating in those sheltered bleachers were by invite only. Perhaps they had a hard time filling those seats too(?)

And he couldn't boast about "crowd size." This is more like a private party - at taxpayer expense.
