We'll never now how many children have died at the border
No records are kept.
But whether the number is hundreds, a thousand, tens of thousands, Trump and each and every one of his henchmen/women are guilty of crimes against humanity.
Many of the lower level guards and torturers will never be identified or brought to trial.
But Trump and his White House staff members and Cabinet officials who were involved in this are known. And they should share his dungeon with him. For life.
Who ever thought that America could get here? Who ever thought that America would allow this. Well, it turns out that none of us "allowed this." We just did not have the power to stop it.
All we can do is to ensure that a viscous, cruel monster can never again hold the power of the presidency. And the other thing we can do is make sure that the Republican Party never ever comes to power.
Sure, they're going to hold some states forever. Well, let those states that vote for Republicans pay the enormous cost levied on them by Republicans. After all, these people are voting for Jim Crow, "legal" lynchings, and who knows what else. Fuck them. They aren't what America is supposed to be. And they never will be.
As for the rest of us, lets see that laws are passed that taxes are not transferred from well to do states to states that can't make anything work. Perhaps without this transfer of wealth, they may finally "get it" and suffer a just fate.
But back to the main point. Countless children have been imprisoned, starved, tortured, raped, and an unknown number have died. Are we just going to ignore the pictures we've seen and the reports we've heard form credible sources (so far). Trump and his minions must, MUST, be made to answer for this. And if they aren't held responsible, America is over.
