It seems like this show struggled a bit to get its footing. I think the second season will be a lot like the second season (and IMO one of the best seasons) of the West Wing where we saw more character development and more organic story lines. The office romances seem to take up too much of the show’s time (one thing Sorkin didn’t do so much in the West Wing scripts) and it feels more like filler than a genuine element of the show. From a writing perspective, the West Wing had so much political content to work with that it could be smart and witty without having to rely on romantic elements to move the vehicle along. In my opinion, the Maggie, Don, Jim, Lisa, and now Sloan pentagram is getting contrived and downright exhausting. There has to be other elements of cable news that the writers can focus their energy on to tell a story. In short, I don’t think that Sorkin has hit his stride yet, but I’m really interested to see what’s gonna happen next.

"It's a perfect example of exactly what you are compaining about. Half truths, made up statistics, and pushing agenda. It's rampid in politics in general, but the Tea Party is not the enemy. They are a bunch of grass roots hard working pe
ople who believe in the constiution of the United States and limiting Government in order to provide some level of fiscal responsiblity which the Government has proven EVERY time it gets involved in anything that it has none of and to call them terrorists makes liberals the enemy. Sad"

Clearly he doesn't understand what the definition of "Grassroots" is.
