Justice Department Tells Mueller Deputies Not to Testify
July 9, 2019 at 11:06 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard

“The Justice Department is seeking to discourage Robert Mueller’s deputies from testifying before Congress, potentially jeopardizing an agreement for two of the former prosecutors to answer lawmakers’ questions in private next week,” the New York Times reports.

“It is unclear what effect the Justice Department’s intervention will have on the men’s eventual appearances, but it raises the prospect that a deal lawmakers thought they had struck last month for testimony from Mr. Mueller, the former special counsel, and the two prosecutors could still unravel.”

Shouldn't the same blanket protection of the 1st Amendment apply to everyone?

It’s quite apparent that these are the very common actions of completely innocent people, guilty people don’t act like that. The innocent have nothing to hide!

How is blocking everyone from testifying like this even possible? They crossed the line telling others to ignore sopoenas. This corruption has to end here or how can the truth ever be truly heard.

don't do it, neither are contempt of congress votes if you go no further and why we need some

Impeachment inquiries and the votes to impeach will have an effect. I know there is a process, but we are 2 years in now and zero reason why Barr has not been a subject of impeachment.

If lying to congress can;t get you impeached, why did people vote for democrats in 2016? What reason will they even come out to vote in 2020?
