Just a fun observation on the US Women's Soccer Team's Parade.

Just saw a few minutes but leading the parade was a bunch big strong women on
really big powerful bikes.

1. I was about to make a comment about that, but, funny as it would be, could get me banned for life.

3. I was thinking about how I could post about the biker girls w/out sounding sexist.

But right now someplace out in a ranch house in Indiana some old white man is clutching
his chest and cussing at his TV machine.

2. I suspect that was the group affectionately known as

Dykes on Bikes.

They started to be seen in parades and demonstrations as far back as the Seventies.

But for political reasons they are not openly identifying themselves in this parade.

6. That's the name of the motorcycle club,

officially chartered.

That word has been "owned" by the community for decades now.

If a trumpette used it, I am sure there would be an amused response from the target as they ran them over.

Or if you aren't sure what to make of them, get to a pride parade some time. Dykes on Bikes is usually the first group leading the parade, doing intricate maneuvers, popping wheelies, and generally setting the stage for good, raucous fun.
